Some of you may be familiar with Diner en Blanc. This international event, now in its 31st iteration, allows participants to only wear white attire and the jewelry must be gold, silver, and be adorned only with white or colorless gems. As I have been attending DEB in my home town of Albuquerque for the last 6 years and this past June, for the first time in Paris, I decided that I wanted to create a piece of jewelry that would be striking elegant. From that first necklace that consisted of 7 golden orbs, the single orb necklace was born - because this design is just too darn cute to not be able to wear it anywhere, anytime! And trust me, even one of these discs makes quite an impression.
The base material is sterling silver and the orb is adorned with almost pure gold leaf. You can make a set or wear individually other golden orb jewelry: rings, earrings, and of course, the original piece (please scroll through the photos provided below). Check out other listings if you like this design as much as I do. I am drawn by the simplicity of these pieces and the brilliance of the gold.
Please know that these pieces are delicate, so you need to avoid contact of the gold surface with any object that can scratch the gold layer.
